This year marks 21 Years of the Greek Fest Glendi Townsville Enjoy 'A Taste of the Mediterranean' with Greek Fest Festival goer's senses will come alive with traditional music and dancing displays, delectable foods and cooking demonstrations from around the Mediterranean including Greece, Italy, France and Turkey. Greek Fest Glendi is a signature cultural event in Townsville. It has provided a wonderful opportunity to embrace the Greek culture over a weekend of non-stop entertainment, wonderful cuisine, music and dance. The word ‘Glendi’ translates to festivity, revelry, merrymaking – a celebration. The festival has always been and continues to be, a free event for over 25,000 attendees. There will also be a variety of children's entertainment and fun ­filled activities for the whole family to be involved in. The festival will be staged at the Riverway Precinct, Thuringowa Central.
