The Goondiwindi Regional Visitor Information Centre (VIC) is located within the Goondiwindi Regional Civic Centre at 45 Bowen Street in Goondiwindi. It can also be accessed from 100 Marshall Street. This accredited VIC offers a one stop shop for travel information including free maps, Coffee Lovers Guides for coffee houses in town, brochures and information on surrounding districts, accommodation information and lovely local gifts to remember your stay.
There is free wi-fi accessible from the Goondiwindi Regional Council Desk, also located within this the Civic Centre building.
They also host the Gunsynd Museum - a must see for any horse lover or for people interested to learn more about the history of the magnificent Goondiwindi Grey: Gunsynd. In 2004 Gunsynd was the only animal named in the Queensland Icon's list. Gunsynd won the hearts of the people, and in the 1972-73 horse racing season he was named Australia's Champion Racehorse. The Gunsynd Museum houses many of Gunsynd's' accolades donated by his owners. It's a great memorial to this truly fascinating race horse.
