About Inglewood Apex-Lions Park

Located on the Cunningham Highway on the eastern end of the township of Inglewood, and adjacent to the Macintyre Brook, the Inglewood Apex-Lions Park is a lovely place to break your journey and relax. You can enjoy a barbecue using the free gas barbecues provided in a lovely atmosphere with shady trees, picnic tables and shelter sheds. Exercise stations, a skate park and children's playground are also available. You can also enjoy a stroll along the Olive Walkway where you can read the plaques located at various intervals on the side of the path. These plaques recall interesting historical happenings and events in the area. There is also a monument erected in memory of Alan Cunningham who crossed and named the Macintyre Brook on 30 May 1827. You will leave with vivid images of their past. Visitors are welcomed at the Driver Reviver station which operates in the park in peak travelling times. A dump point for caravans is also located at the park.
